Area description

Local amenities include a mini market, pub, church and the famous walk around the lake. The sandy beach and harbour at Carne are only minutes away and the area has an abundance of sporting and leisure activities on its doorstep horse riding, sailing, golf etc. Rosslare Harbour is close by with daily sailings to the U.K. and France. Wexford Town is approx. 20 minutes driving distance. The village of Lady's Island is situated 6 kilometres south of Rosslare Harbour in County Wexford. The lake itself is a shallow lagoon separated from the open sea by a shingle bank. The island is connected to the mainland by a causeway and is the site of a well-known pilgrimage held annually in August. It was the site of an ancient monastery dedicated to Our Lady. The ruins of the Augustinian Priory are still to be seen, as is the Norman tower, which leans at a greater angle than the tower at Pisa. The pilgrimage season starts of the 15th August and continues until the 8th September.

Cancellation policy

euro100 booking deposit with balance to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival.
If holiday is cancelled 6 weeks prior to arrival, we will endeavour to return the deposit if we are able to re-let the property at the normal rate less euro20 for administration.
Cancellations made 29-42 days before start date of holiday - 50% of total holiday cost
Cancellations made 15-28 days before start date of holiday - 75% of total holiday cost
Cancellations made 1-14 days before start date of holiday - full holiday costs
Remember to check that your travel insurance policy covers cancellation of holidays.
