Come and enjoy a little haven of peace and serenity in the West of Ireland. An Tigin, pronounced \"on-tigeen\" and meaning little house in the Irish language, is an enchanting authentically restored thatched cottage, with 3 bedrooms, set in 154 acres of forest and bogland. The garden to the front of the house has clear uninterrupted views of Galway Bay and the hills of Clare. To sip a glass of wine while watching the spectacular sunsets over the Bay, is truly one of life\'s great experiences. The cottage, part of an old famine village, is very private, surrounded by trees. Birdsong is the only major distraction.
The wonderful vibrant city of Galway, historically known as the \'City of the Tribes\', is only 7 miles away (as the crow flies, that is). It has maintained much of it\'s own charm, yet offers art galleries, museums and pubs with traditional music and festivals all year round. The villages of Bearna, Furbo and Spideal offer a host of activities for visitors with many lively local restaurants. The Aran Islands can be reached by ferry or plane and make for a wonderful family day out. The Bearna Golf and Country Club is literally \'just down the road\'. Most of all, the Cottage is a wonderful place to practice the ancient and dying art of doing nothing.
