Ideally situated beside the beautiful Baronscourt Estate and Newtownstewart Golf Course, Falcon Rise offer the perfect location to enjoy the natural beauty of the north west of Ireland. The accommodation is purpose built and has recently been refurbished to provide all the ingredients for a relaxing, luxurious break. Falcon Rise has a wood burning stove in the living area and a ready supply of firewood to add to the country cottage character. Essentials such as en-suite, power-shower, dishwasher and microwave are all standard.
Area Description
Falcon Rise has a decking area which leads out from the sunroom providing an opportunity for outdoor dining and relaxation. Steps lead down from the decking to the private enclosed garden. The practice green of the neighbouring Newtownstewart Golf Club can be accessed directly from the garden.
The resident sika deer population are regular visitors to the area and can be spotted not too far from both cottages. Other wildlife such as red squirrels and pheasants are regular visitors within the immediate vicinity of both cottages. A squirrel feeder is provided to help the native reds throughout the year.
Baronscourt Cottages are located in the heart of the northwest of ireland. Located in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland we are
easily accessible to Counties Fermanagh, Derry and Antrim within Northern Ireland. With the Irish border just 10 miles away
we are also conviently situated for visiting the Republic of Ireland including counties Donegal and Sligo.
The Baronscourt area is dominated by Bessy Bell mountain (420m), which forms the south western reach of the Sperrins
mountain range in County Tyrone. It offers spectacular views of the surrounding rolling countryside and as far away as the
Donegal mountains. Bessy Bell and the wider Baronscourt area are classified as part of the Sperrins Foothills Area of Scenic
Quality. Bessy Bell is divided from the high summits of nearby Mullaghcarn (542m) and Slieveard (419m) by the scenic valley
of the River Strule, which flows northwards from Omagh towards the Foyle.
