Hamiltonsbawn or
Hamilton's Bawn is a small village in County Armagh, situated 5
miles east of Armagh city. The village gets its name from the bawn
or castle of John Hamilton, who was granted lands here in Plantation
days and who died in 1633; he was buried in Mullabrack Church where
his monument can still be seen. |
