the side of a hill leading to Tandragee Castle at the summit.
Tandragee or Tanderagee is situated on the banks of the Cusher
River. On the outside overlooking the village is the baronial style
castle built in about 1837 by George Montagu, 6th Duke of
Manchester. It has been described as a "Gothic extravaganza". The
castle today houses the offices of the potato-crisp company Tayto.
Tandragee Golf Club is a formidable yet picturesque 18 hole parkland
course, set in the beautiful County Armagh countryside. |
