Lahinch is a golf and bathing seaside resort on the west coast of County Clare . The town is situated on Liscannor Bay just south of Liscannor and the famous cliffs of Moher. Lahinch is one of Ireland's most popular resorts offering visitors great variety and spectacular scenery.

Lahinch is famous the world over for a 2km long beach of golden sand that is ideal for bathing, swimming or surfing. Across the road from the beach is Lahinch Seaworld and Leisure complex, complete with a 25m heated swimming pool, a children's pool, a jacuzzi and a sauna room.
At the Seaworld Centre visitors can also see and experience the underwater life of the Atlantic coast. Sharks, rays and conger eels; starfish, lobsters and flatfish can all be viewed in a giant aquarium.

Increasingly Lahinch is becoming known for the top quality surfing conditions available offshore. Indeed the Guinness record for number of surfers on a wave is held by Lahinch. Surf lessons and equipment for hire are available in the village. Other water sports including kitesurfing and windsurfing are catered for as well. The pitch-and-putt course is 2km outside the town on the road to Liscannor

Lahinch is also famous for it’s links golf course which has been host to every major Irish Amateur competition and the Home Internationals. Lahinch Golf Club is undoubtedly one of the world's great classic links. It has all the ingredients of true greatness: a beautiful setting, a rich history, superb natural terrain and, where man has 'intervened', it has been through the hand of an outstanding architect. It also has a pair of notorious blind holes, a ruined castle and goats that roam freely on the dunes.

Lahinch has numerous pubs which are lively all summer long with a good mixture of live music to be found from traditional to rock to folk. The resort has a good choice of restaurants and cafes, and there are also a few gems on the road from Lahinch to Miltown Malbay.

Lahinch is an excellent base from which to explore the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher.
