Derrybeg is located
in the Gaeltacht of North West Donegal and is an ideal base for
touring this beautiful region. The area is famed for it's sheltered
sandy beaches spectacular rugged coastline and the warmth of the
welcome extended to visitors to the area. In the long evenings
locals and visitors gather in the village's pubs to listen to live
traditional music - indeed this area is the heartland of such
renowned groups as Altan and Clannad. It's only a short drive to
Donegal Airport at Carrickfinn with connections to Glasgow and
Dublin. The immediate area also has some fine beaches and golf
courses.
