Lack is a small
village in County Fermanagh situated on the road between Omagh and
Ederney. It has been described as the most northerly village in
County Fermanagh and as the smallest village in the Glendarragh
Valley. Its growth was promoted by the Irvine Family who owned most
of the locality.
Airtricity developed a wind farm on Tappaghan Mountain in the
townland of Glenarn, near Lack. It was commissioned in February 2005
and produces 19.5MW of electricity, enough to power the equivalent
of approximately 12,000 houses. |
