Moyard is a small
village in Connemara located on the road between Clifden and
Letterfrack. Cleggan, Clifden and Letterfrack are all within easy
driving distance of the village. In Moyard there is a small shop and
post office, a four star hotel (Rosleague Manor), bar and
restaurant, and one of the best known craft shops in the area, Avoca
handweavers. The village is on the route to the renowned Kylemore
Abbey, and is an ideal base for touring and exploring this scenic
part of north-west Connemara.
The Connemara
National Park is only a few minutes away along a scenic coastal
road. There are some of the most breathtaking views around,
including the Twelve Bens and Ballinakill harbour. The area has
superb sea angling, great shore fishing, nearby scubadiving, hill
walking and horse riding for all skill levels. |
