Rosmuck is located in
the heart of the ‘ Connemara Gaelteacht’ where the Irish language is
spoken, so it’s just perfect if you want to immerse yourself in a
slice of Irish culture. Rosmuck is neighboured on one side by the
parish of Carraroe to the south and by the parish of Carna to the
west.
The area around Rosmuck is as beautiful as it is rugged, where the
mighty mountain range - the Twelve Bens - sweep down to Galway Bay.
You’re within easy driving distance of Clifden to the West and
Galway City to the East. The area is dotted with many pretty
villages offering local and world crafts. Rosmuck is a small village
with a pub and a shop and holds a traditional Irish dancing festival
in February.
Attractions and places of interest nearby include Connemara National
Park, Clynagh Island, and the village of Carraroe and Pearse Cottage
named after the 1916 Rising leader Patrick Pearse. |
