southwest of Abbeyleix.
This attractive late 18th century crossroads village is surrounded

the annual Tidy Towns Competition
Granstown lake near Ballacolla, provides excellent quality
stillwater fishing containing large quantities of pike, perch, tench,
rudd and eel. Situated in nature reserve, the lake is open from
April to October.
Ballycolla is an ideal base to explore the Slieve Bloom Mountains.
