Stradbally is a
picturesque village situated on the south coast of Co Waterford. It
is situated 12km east of Dungarvan.
This neat village of thatched and slate cottages lies along the
route of the Copper Coast Drive. It has won many awards in the
National Tidy Towns Competition and was also the recipient of a
Heritage Award in the prestigious international Entente Florale.
Two coves are signposted in the village. Stradbally Cove, with its
fine sandy beach, is popular with families while rugged Ballyvooney
Cove, is spectacularly set under a dramatic headland. Drumlohan
Ogham Stone, a National Monument is located close to the village.
Stradbally is also the home of internationally published artist
Róisín O' Shea. A visit to her craft shop and studio is highly
recommended.
Stradbally is an ideal base to explore the Sunny South East and has
the advantage of Dungarvans many facilities, including 3 golf
courses, close at hand. |
