Clonroche is a
small village located in the heart of County Wexford. It is located
15km west of Enniscorthy on the road to New Ross.
Clonroche is the premier soft fruit growing area in Ireland. Up to
80% of the strawberry, blackcurrant, and raspberry crop emanates
from here.
To the north of Clonroche lies Mount Leinster and the Blackstairs
Mountain Range. These mountains are a ridge of rounded granite peaks
lying between the beautiful Barrow valley and the rich lowlands of
Wexford. The region is a walkers paradise and offers everything from
big long walks right along the ridges to pleasant strolls in the
woods and valleys.
The Boro Hill Equestrian Centre is located on the outskirts of
Clonroche and features indoor and outdoor arenas. Also based near
Clonroche is Quad Attack which offers adventurous all weather
cross-country quad biking for everybody from 6 years upwards.
