Donaghmore is
a small coastal resort located beside the beautiful Ardamine Beach
on the east coast of Co Wexford. It is 3km from Ballygarrett
Village, 8km south of Courtown and 14km southeast of Gorey.
Swimming, wind surfing, fishing and dinghy sailing are popular
activities on the beach at Donaghmore.
Nearby Courtown has a full range of tourist amenities including
several 18 hole golf courses, amusement parks for all ages, crazy
golf and bowling (Pirates Cove), sailing, excellent indoor swimming
pool and gym (Forrest Leisure Centre), pubs, restaurants, night club
and lots of other entertainment.
Just 5km south of Donaghmore is the seaside village of Cahore. This
pretty village has earned a well deserved reputation for being the
premier venue for sea angling on the East Coast of Ireland. This
achievement is due to large stocks of fish and the vast variety of
specimen fish recorded off the local coast. Sea angling competitions
are held regularly throughout the year.
